Cellular respiration is the process that releases energy by breaking down glucose and other food molecules in the presence of oxygen to produce energy. The process is represented by this formula:

Glycolysis
Inputs:Glucose +2 NAD + 2 ADP + 2 Pi
Outputs: 2 Pyruvate + 2NADH +2 H + 2 ATP (net)

Cellular Location: Cytosol(Outside the Mitochondria)
